Introducing Jon Briley

Since standing at Cricket On Ice 2024, Jon  has become a mainstay of the Middlesex umpiring circuit - joining the Middlesex County Cricket League umpire panel and receiving his first ECB appointments.

Jon started umpiring when the lingering effects of chemotherapy put an end to his playing days. Having missed the entire 2025 UK season for health reasons, he is raring to go in 2026 and looking to make up for lost time.

Jon says: “I am very excited to be coming back to St Moritz for #COI 2026, standing again in the stunning surroundings of the St Moritzer-See, and working with new colleagues from around the world in a unique tournament.”
