The Annual General Meeting of St Moritz Cricket Club was held on Saturday, 11th July 2026, at the Hotel Laudinella, St Moritz.
The meeting was attended by members of the Club Board, the Cricket On Ice (COI) Committee, our Patron Rolf Sachs, together with club members and invited observers.
Club President Pete Veal presented his annual report, reflecting on another successful year for the Club. He highlighted the continued growth and achievements of St Moritz Cricket Club, with particular emphasis on the ongoing success of the Club's flagship event, Cricket On Ice, which continues to attract international teams, officials, sponsors and visitors to St Moritz while promoting cricket in one of the world's most unique sporting environments.
During the meeting, members expressed their sincere appreciation to Alexander Mackay for his many years of dedicated service to both St Moritz Cricket Club and the Cricket On Ice tournament. His commitment, leadership and tireless work over many years have played a significant role in the development and international recognition of the Club and its premier event.
Following his decision to stand down from his role, members warmly welcomed John Royle, who succeeds Alexander as Secretary. The Club looks forward to continuing its progress under the guidance of the newly elected committee.
Following the formal business of the AGM, members gathered in the Hotel Laudinella bar for drinks and snacks, providing an opportunity to continue discussions in a relaxed atmosphere. Conversations centred on the future of the Club, preparations for forthcoming Cricket On Ice events, and the ongoing importance of maintaining and promoting cricket within the Canton of Graubünden (Grisons).
The evening concluded in excellent spirits, reflecting the strong sense of friendship, commitment and shared purpose that continues to define St Moritz Cricket Club.
