St Moritz, 4th February 2026 — St Moritz Cricket Club (SMCC) is delighted to announce the appointment of Kaushik Maulik, a leading Sports Media Professional, as Special Advisor to promote Cricket on Ice in the Indian Sub-Continent for the 2026–27 cycle. In this role, Maulik will spearhead efforts to promote the iconic Cricket on Ice tournament across the Indian sub-continent.
Following discussions held earlier this year, SMCC has formally confirmed Maulik’s advisory role with a clear mandate to accelerate the growth and visibility of Cricket on Ice in one of the world’s most passionate cricket markets. Leveraging his extensive media experience, industry relationships, and deep understanding of the Indian sporting ecosystem, Maulik will focus on three strategic objectives:
1. Brand Building & Broadcast Reach
Strengthening the Cricket on Ice brand in India through established media channels, with a particular focus on securing live-streaming and/or highlights coverage on Indian television platforms.
2. Participation & Engagement
Driving interest among Indian players and teams to participate in the annual Cricket on Ice tournament, scheduled for February 2027, and expanding India’s on-ice cricket footprint.
3. Sponsorship & Commercial Growth
Delivering tangible sponsorship support from Indian partners to help scale the tournament’s reach, quality, and global profile.
Cricket on Ice, staged on the frozen lake of St Moritz, is one of the most unique spectacles in world cricket—combining elite competition with a breath-taking alpine setting. With Maulik’s appointment, SMCC aims to make the tournament a familiar and celebrated brand among Indian fans, players, broadcasters, and sponsors alike.
Kaushik Maulik brings decades of experience across sports media, broadcasting, and strategic consulting.
The appointment will be announced across Cricket on Ice’s official social media platforms.
St Moritz Cricket Club looks forward to working closely with Kaushik Maulik to unlock new opportunities and ensure Cricket on Ice becomes a well-known and eagerly anticipated event across the Indian sub-continent.
