Tallinn Hippos from Estonia successfully defended their title by winning Cricket on Ice, the premier annual event in the Swiss cricketing calendar, after beating Flamingos Cricket Club from Bath in England in the final on Saturday 14th February 2026.

In a dominant performance at the Cricket on Ice-2026 final on St Moritz Frozen Lake, Tallinn Hippos cruised to a comprehensive 60-run victory over Flamingo Cricket Club in the 15-over clash. Chasing a challenging target, the Flamingo reply never got going after the Hippos posted a competitive total, thanks in part to useful knocks from Andrew Hartridge (26) and Heinrich Gericke (17) alongside contributions from Dave Robson (11).

With the ball, Hippos bowlers controlled the Flamingos response, as Ragne Hallik (3-0-13-4), Robson (2-0-7-2) and Sanjay Beri (3-1-15-2) all picked up key wickets to restrict Flamingo Cricket Club to 14.2 overs. The win crowned a strong tournament for Tallinn’s side, showcasing both batting depth and disciplined bowling on the ice.

Henry "Blowers" Blofeld awarded Tallinn Hippos captain Stuart Hook with the Cricket on Ice Trophy immediately after the match.

The 2026 Tournament Gala Dinner will take place on Saturday 14th February  beginning with an apéro at 6.30pm, compliments of the Hotel Laudinella.

Additionally there will be a raffle, the proceeds from which will be evenly shared between the development of cricket in Switzerland and the tournament's chosen charity.

Players & officials receive a complimentary invite and additional tickets are available at Fr. 140.- each (subject to confirmation).

Right next to the action, both adults and juniors can step up and have a go themselves. Test your batting skills in the nets, take on our fun cricket parcour, and challenge your agility, balance and coordination — just like a real cricketer.

Whether you’re a complete beginner or a seasoned player, experienced cricketers will be on hand throughout the day to offer expert tips, guidance and live demonstrations to help you sharpen your skills and enjoy the game.
