St. Moritz, Switzerland – The St. Moritz Cricket Club is thrilled to announce that the world-renowned cricket commentator Henry “Blowers” Blofeld OBE will attend the Cricket on Ice Trophy 2026, taking place from 11 to 14 February 2026 on the iconic frozen lake of St Moritz, Switzerland.
Cricket on Ice, one of the sport’s most unique and picturesque tournaments, blends the elegance of alpine scenery with the timeless spirit of the game. Each year, international teams compete in this extraordinary setting, where the backdrop of snow-covered mountains and dazzling sunshine creates an unforgettable cricketing spectacle.
This year’s edition promises to be truly special with the addition of Mr Blofeld’s unmistakable charm and voice. A beloved figure in world cricket and a legend of broadcasting, Henry Blofeld’s wit, enthusiasm, and encyclopedic knowledge of the game have delighted audiences for decades through BBC Test Match Special and countless speaking engagements worldwide.
During the tournament, Mr Blofeld will provide live commentary on one match each day, bringing his signature blend of humour and insight to spectators both on-site and online.
